Yousuf Karsh was an immigrant from Mardin, Ottoman Empire (Turkey) and grew up during the Armenian Genocide. He saw many of his relatives die right in front of him and even saw his sister die of starvation. He was arranged to meet with photographer John Goro in Boston. Karsh took many photos for magazines and photographed Winston Churchill, Humphery Bogart, and Albert Einstein. This particular photo is of Muhammad Ali. I used a suit and emulated the pose and face Ali was making. I also set the picture to greyscale to match Karsh's photos. I believe the face shows determination and grit so In my photo I tried to look as determined as possible. One thing I could've done better was to add a tie and shirt, but unfortunately I did not have those 2 things. Also, If I had a better camera, I would take this picture with said camera instead of my Dad's phone.
